Take the tour if you can. I’m pretty sure it’s reservation only for tours but super worth it and you get free beer. They have a lively tap room and big outdoor space right on the river. You can walk there, it’s a 20 min walk, but all uphill on the way back.

Our favorite fancy restaurants are Cucina24 and Limones which are both downtown.
Walkable coffee shops: Hole Donuts, Battle Cat Coffee, Owl bakery. Check hours online.
LaZoom Tours are really fun!
If you like the water, tubing the French Broad River is a treat. Zen tubing and Sky tubing rent out tubes and shuttle guests to the river.
New Belgium Brewery has a fun tour. Reservations required.
There is a new greenway in the River Arts District.

You can get tubes and a ride from Zen Tubing or Sky Tubing. Take your favorite beverages, sit back and let the French Broad take you. Fun people watching on the weekend.
