Traveler advice
Getting around
Transport
Own transport is best. Taxi is also a good option, book via Uber or FreeNow (App). Walking is a little awkward, as there is a stretch of the road with no sidewalk. Cork city is about 5km away. There is a bus from Glanmire to the city. Public transport is not amazing in Ireland in general.
Don't miss
Farmers Market
Thursdays in Mahon Shopping centre, Saturdays in Midleton. Both great for a lunch outing!
Ways to save
Drinks cost the same everywhere
A dive bar or a fancy hotel, drinks cost about the same!
What to pack
Bring sensible shoes
For walks around our garden we recommend sensible footwear. Paths may be slippery, please be cautious especially in wet weather.
