Boca Chica is like a 45 minute drive. Santo Domingo does not have a beach in the city. The Boat House is a great place to go spend a beach day, it is right on the water and on a nice part of Boca Chica.

I recommend a comedor because its like $3 dollars for a plate of rice, beans and meat. If you want to eat cheap this is the place to go. The food is good, at noon there is usually a long line.
