Sightseeing
This is a spectacular visit, not only for the falls but also for the immersion into the eco system of the forest that surrounds it. There are a number of trails to take. I recommend to see the falls, walk the suspension bridge, take the walk to look at the falls from the other side and walk the loop that takes you below the dam. You can picnic on the big rocks, take a chilly swim and enjoy the most beautiful clear river and forests from above the Falls.

A wonderful day at the beach … sandy beach for miles, warm water. Take a bucket and spade for the kids, your book and a blanket. Buy some food from the “Forbidden Zone “ Pizza or Discovery Foods deli - always something interesting and relax!

The ferry trip over to Heriot Bay is worth it.. maybe you will see whales! First drive to Rececca Spit, and enjoy a walk along the beach on the wild side or the walk along the bay and take a look at all the yachts in the Summer. Have a swim, take a look at the driftwood art at the campground office & then head to Heriot Bay Inn for lunch/ dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Love the food here! I haven’t been here since an extended outdoor patio was added, but there is always fresh food, great beer and a cool, casual atmosphere.
