Neighbourhoods
Wolseley is a very street friendly Neighbourhood. You will see people walking their dogs and out with their families. There are places to walk to . There are cafes, wine stores, restaurants and speciality stores. Not just your cookie cutter box stores.
If you have a bike , there is all sorts of biking trails and routes. My home is one block from Wolseley Ave. It is blocked off from vehicles. You can take that path all the way to Assiniboine Park without having to go on Portage Ave . or you can take the railway bridge across the river to Wellington Crescent. You can also get to the Forks by the bike path along the river.
In the winter there is a skating rink all along the Assiniboine River to the Red River at the Forks. There are entrances all along to get down to the river.
From the Forks you are walking distance to Saint Boniface the French Quarters and there is also the Human Rights Museum at the Forks. You also can get to Waterfront Drive from the Forks . The ball park is there and where the Goldeyes play. From Waterfront Dr. you can access the Exchange District. Where there is more historical building all in one Neighbourhood more than anywhere else in Winnipeg.
