Great trips to the national marine sanctuary of the Channel Islands, the American Galapagos! I’ve been through pods of dolphins on the boat out (those are pictures I took) and seen whales right by us! Enjoy amazing diving and also nature and hiking when you get out there ~ worth the trip! One of our most colorful markets for strolling on a Saturday morning! From there, you can explore the unique shops, the fun & quirky vibes, and the thrift and antique shops that downtown is known for, stop for coffee at Palermo or breakfast at Cajun kitchen (both half a block away), walk down to the beach… https://www.vccfm.org

Archer’s favorite dog beach is from the pierpont school (down Seaward and make a left on Pierpont, go 1/2 way to Marina park and stop at pierpont school on your right to get on the sand) to the mermaid statue! Dogs are ok on the city side ~ go to the left as you face the ocean once you hit the sand, down from the Pierpont School
