Aahaar an Indian Eatery is one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in all of Washington and is worthy of a visit. This restaurant offers South Indian food that is very simple and delicious. Moreover, the servers are very eager to serve you great food. Also, Aahaar offers lunch specials called the Thali plate that is wonderful and unique every time. The plate always includes a salad, a potato or amazing beans, Raita, papad, and a sweet food at the end. Arguably, the best part of Aahaar is the Parotta which is a southen Indian bread. Parotta is quite crispy, buttery, and flaky when consumed. It's always hot, fresh, and divine which makes it unique compared to other food options.

This place is pretty much a must stop if needing lower priced gas, liquor, cigarettes and snacks. The prices are always lower than 90% of the stations out there (only ones that consistently beat them are Costco and the Truck Stop a couple exits east of Exit 31), and they have a good selection of drinks and snacks; as well as hot food made to order for breakfast, and they have sandwiches and other items for lunch.

Since the 1940’s, the diner that is now Twede’s Cafe has been the crown jewel of downtown North Bend. It is because of its picturesque setting and classic feel that David Lynch chose this location to be the Double R Diner and the Snoqualmie Valley to be the town of Twin Peaks.

Little Si is the little sister to Mount Si. The trail is easier with less elevation, but the view from the top is just as breathtaking with views of Snoqualmie Valley and Rattlesnake Mountain. It’s great for young kids, novice hikers, or just to get back in the swing of things for the new season. Little Si is a nice alternative if you don’t have the time or energy for Mt Si.

Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range in the scenic town of Snoqualmie, WA, DirtFish Rally School was established in 2010 with the idea that the exciting sport of rally should be accessible to everyone. Armed with an immaculate fleet of turbocharged, all-wheel-drive cars, right from the beginning DirtFish was equipped to share with anyone the excitement of what a real rally car can do on a loose surface. In the fall of 2014, DirtFish embellished their offerings with the launch of rear-wheel drive programs. Similar in nature to the all-wheel drive programs, the precise and very sideways action the classes offer provides an entirely different challenge for drivers of every background. Ever since, DirtFish has become the most prestigious rally school in North America, providing the highest level of instruction, top level cars and gorgeous facilities all year round.
With the success of our classes and corporate events, it was time for DirtFish to expand. We decided that the next natural step for us was to break into motorsports and competition. DirtFish Motorsports was born in late 2014, and 2015 was the first year we started competing in the Cascadia International Rally Championship and the Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites series.
In just a few years, DirtFish has matured into more than just a rally school… DirtFish has grown into a brand that is recognized around the world. With a team of passionate enthusiast's keen on developing the best of everything, there is no limit to what the future holds. The next developments will be every bit as exciting!

*Bike Rentals * Corporate Events * Summer Camps Compass Outdoor Adventures was originally incorporated in 2006. The founder, Luke Talbott, was teaching fifth grade in the Snoqualmie Valley when he began to notice a trend in his students. Creative problem solving seemed to be taking a back seat to immediately quitting when something got difficult. Exploration and curiosity became secondary to playing it safe and relying on adults. He realized that to do something great, he would need to go outside the four walls of the classroom and get kids into an environment where they could truly learn what it is like to be alive. Starting in 2008, the first Compass summer camp began with a total of 12 kids. Campers hiked, biked, explored, and got dirty in the forested corridor of Interstate 90, all within 25 minutes of their homes. By 2016, over 400 summer campers, thousands of field trip participants, and hundreds of corporate folks were taken out into the wilderness and shown their true capacities were far more than they ever imagined. Mountains to Sound Greenway did this road to trail conversion in order to create a more sustainable, safer route for hikers to a summit on the I-90 corridor. Hike through second- and third-growth forest, pass a lovely waterfall, and enjoy a summit slightly less-frequently visited than the nearby Mount Si.
Begin your hike from the new trailhead parking area, on a half-mile access trail which switchbacks up from the lot and through second-growth forest. At a junctions, turn left on the old logging road. This road-to-trail conversion was completed by a contractor working with the Department of Natural Resources, and has made the entire former road section a much more enjoyable hike.
You'll climb gently through young forest and meadows for 1.5 miles. Through this section, you'll pass a side trail to the popular Teneriffe Falls. This is a worthwhile (if longish) detour to a gorgeous waterfall with a small overlook, but note that slippery rocks and steep dropoffs make it a place to be extra careful with novice hikers or young children.
Back on the main trail, things ramp up just past the intersection with the Roaring Creek Trail. Now you begin switchbacking at a steeper incline for 2.7 miles. Along the way, about a quarter-mile from your next intersection, take a rest and have a little water at a beautiful viewpoint of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie, complete with rock bench, placed there by the contractor who did the road-to-trail conversion.
Come to a T intersection shortly past this viewpoint, signed with another map of the area. A left here takes you via a connector trail to the base of the Mount Si haystack; it's a fun alternate way to access this popular summit. But Teneriffe is found to your right, at the end of another 2.3 miles of hiking. About a mile down this section, the road-to-trail conversion ends and you're on honest-to-goodness trail. It's narrower, and the forest is much closer, offering a completely different experience than you've had up to now.
The summit push is a very short rocky scramble to the top. Be sure-footed here, and be careful to not trample the flowers and greenery surviving on the rocks. From the summit, the Snoqualmie Valley spreads out below you, and you can soak in 360-degree mountain views, from Mailbox Peak to the east, to the distant snowy summits of Mount Baker and Glacier Peak to the north, and of course, Mount Rainier to the south.

The Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (PTCT) stretches 289 miles across Washington from Cedar Falls near North Bend to the Idaho border south of Spokane. It is a rail trail that passes through a 2.3-mile-long tunnel, crosses over the Columbia River, over the land scoured by the Ice Age Floods and through the wheat fields of the Palouse region of Washington.
We have divided our description of the route into two sections, West of the Columbia River and East of the Columbia River. This is because they are significantly different in terms of services, access from public roads, and cell coverage. Travelers east of Renslow need to be prepared with water, supplies and have endurance. There are also many detours required at this time, so researching the detour maps is important.
Rules
The PTCT is managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. There website for the PTCT is https://parks.state.wa.us/521/Palouse-to-Cascades. It is open to non-motorized uses such as hiking, biking, and riding horses. It is also used for cross-country skiing, horse drawn wagons, running, bird watching, exploring railroad history, exploring geology, and traveling crossing Washington. There is no camping allowed in the State Park except at the five designated campsites. On the east side of the Columbia River an online registration is required for use.
