Lakes
Llyn Brenig has a cafe and visitor centre. We’d recommend hiring bikes at the centre and cycling the flat 10km route around the lake. You can also incorporate Llyn Alwen as a figure of 8 ride if you fancy going a bit further. If you drive to the far end of the lake, away from the visitor centre and towards the sailing club then keeping going and you’ll find numerous private bays/inlets, ideal for a picnic.

We'd recommend that you take the A5 (it’s nicer than the coast road) to Pen-y-Pass car park. Hike up Miners track and down Pyg track. You may need to book parking (check online before setting off). We’d recommend leaving as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Alternatively walk the Watkin Path and for those who are really brave take a dip in the Cwm Llan Falls to cool off. For those wanting a more leisurely experience, take the Snowdon Mountain Railway and meet the rest of your group in the cafe at the top. Booking essential.
