The restaurant at the Golden Pheasant is our favorite for "date night." It's a white-tablecloth kind of place that serves high end food but without the big city price tag. They also have a fantastic bistro menu and one of the best burgers in the area. The outdoor seating is in a lovely garden with a view of the canal or on the front porch with a view of the river. We love to sit at the bar, but the formal dining room inside the historic inn is also lovely. Be sure to call if you want to sit outside, especially if you want to bring your pups - they set up special tables on the lawn for parties with dogs to give them ample room and keep them out of the way of other patrons.

Lovely outdoor seating along the canal or on the front porch with a view of the river and the historic Riegelsville bridge, the food is great here but the service can be a little slow. Come when you're not in a hurry and enjoy a leisurely meal in fine surroundings!

Sightseeing
Lovely loop trail past a huge boulder field to a beautiful waterfall. The walk is mostly level with a few sloping hilly spots, the loop is about 1.25 miles, but if you take the right side of the loop, you can go directly to the waterfall and come back the same way for a shorter walk with essentially the highlights of the whole trail. The boulder field is full of rocks with iron deposits so when they are hit with a hammer, they ring. You'll hear other folks making them ring, or bring your own hammer to join the fun! Great for kids!!

Fun place to go on a nice day to watch the vintage planes taking off and landing on the grass airstrip or just walk around to check out the amazing collection of vintage aircraft. Great for kids or motor enthusiasts! People with vintage car and/or motorcycles tend to gather here on weekends.
