Food & Drink
Situated in the Richmond Hill botanical gardens, this cafe is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by. It’s also right next to the river for walking off whatever you bought, afterwards.

Looks unassuming from the outside but it makes amazing takeaway curry fresh each day for just £3.50. As good as, if not better, than most Thai restaurants I have been to.

The Tap on the Line, Kew
Station ApproachJust a great pub. Very dog friendly.
Petersham Nurseries has a great selection of plants, a great shop and lovely cafe/restaurant. It’s pricey though so you might just want a coffee(!)

Fantastic food and huge beer collection at this underground pub. Formerly called the Pigs Ears which I thought was a better name but can’t hold it against them.

Not technically Kew or Richmond but only a short bus ride away. This restaurant is on the pricey side but is absolutely wonderful and the food is amazing. Sit under the pergola if you can.

If it’s a nice day, the main river walk in Richmond will be busy. Simply cross over to the other side via Richmond Bridge and walk on the East Twickenham side - it’s just as beautiful and much quieter.
