Recently renovated and opened as a gorgeous boutique hotel and restaurant, the architectural detail at Weatherills takes you back in time while the fine dining experience takes you to new heights. Personally one of my top three favorite places to visit for dinner, and just for cocktails both the bar and the drinks are exquisite.

Traveler advice
What to pack
Comfortable shoes, swimwear, shades, sunscreen, hat, etc
To enter any establishment in Antigua you will be asked to be wearing shoes. Generally ladies are asked to wear a swim suit cover up or a t shirt and shorts. Men may be asked to wear a sleeved t shirt as opposed to a tank top.
For dinner, trousers or shorts and a polo shirt are acceptable for men.
Getting around
Hire a Taxi or Rent a car?
Renting a car in Antigua is not a must, but it can be very useful if you’d like to explore the island at your own pace. Driving here can be challenging – there are potholes, animals crossing at any given moment, quite a few roundabouts (always give way to traffic coming from the right) and no actual numbered addresses. Search Sunny Rentals Ltd to check out your holiday car rental options…

Sports, Fetes and Food
The national sport of Antigua is cricket!!! Cricket is worshipped like a religion and some of the world’s best cricketers are Antiguan. Carnival is celebrated in Antigua during the end of July to early August. It used to be roughly a week of celebrations filled with colorful costumes, live music, and parades, but in more recent years has become a full two months of weekend fetes, day and night. The national dish of Antigua is fungee (pronounced foon-jee, and is very similar to polenta, sometimes made with okra but never with cheese) and pepperpot, a healthy stew either vegetarian or not.
