Sightseeing
This is one of my favourite places.
From the entrace gate of the reservoir the walking or biking loop is approx 9.5km, its the perfect place for a quiet picnic. Picking blackberries, birdwatching, doing some foraging or just taking in the views of Glenesmole Valley.
For those whose wish to continue their hike/bike the park is the perfect start to the Dublin Mountains which then lead into the Wicklow Way.
The oldest cemetery in Europe (St. Annes) sits just off the valley.

A great day out
Breathtaking scenery, a good days hike uphill (approx 20km to the waterfall, house and gardens), a nice relaxing drive, or a brave cycle for those with thighs if steel (not something I have attempted myself, ouch).
Please note, an entrace fee is required.
