This is our favorite place to hike. Gorgeous views. We almost always see deer as you enter/exit the trail head. Take water with you. There is NO cell signal out there so make note how you drove in. The first part of the trail is fairly simple that most families could walk. As you get further in, it gets a little more challenging. And toward the end the trail fades away into the rock mountain side that is most difficult, but my teenage boys and I have hiked.
