The Ovens River runs from Harrietville right through to Wangarratta.
In Porepunkah, 700 metres walking distance from ‘Copper Leaf’, is the park which is right next to the Ovens River. A great picnic area with public toilets and playground. The Rail Trail goes right through it.
There are lots of bush walks running right next the Ovens as well.

If you bring your bikes, or you can hire in Bright, the new bike trail from Porepunkah to Harrietville is one of the best scenic rides in Victoria.
