Activities
Limestone is in the middle of the Tri-Cities, so events in Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City are all well within an hour's drive. (Johnson City is half that.) Greeneville and Jonesborough are the two closest small towns, and each offers lively events on a regular basis. Check out websites like wjhl.com's community calendar, eventbrite.com, travelers.co just to name a few.
Historic Jonesborough Dance Society hosts contra dancing every first and third Saturday from 7-10:30 at the Jonesborough Visitor Center. This is super fun, even if you haven't square danced since middle school! Local dancers are good natured and patient with newcomers. (I am speaking from experience!)
