Breakfast & Brunch

Our favorite places to enjoy breakfast & lunch around town.
Mediterra Cafe is a popular breakfast & lunch spot nestled between restaurants and boutiques on Beaver Street in Sewickley. There's something here on the menu for everyone, including sweet & savory breakfasts, salads & sandwiches, pizza, and a case full of pastries and baked goods. Our menu favorites? The chai latte, chick pea salad, and shakshuka. Local tip: pick up some of their famous breads, cheeses, meats, and spreads to take back to Hydrangea Cottage and make your own charcuterie board.

Eggs N'at will make any Pittsburgher feel right at home (and if you're from out of town, this breakfast diner will definitely give you a glimpse into the 'Burgh). We recommend getting there as early as possible (the diner is pretty small, although wait times never seem to be more than 10 minutes). Parking in the back and a 5 minute drive from the house. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but we're partial to The Ironworker (share the pancakes with the table!) or any of the egg sandwiches.

Café des Amis is a French bistro in the heart of Sewickley serving up delicious breakfast and lunch. It's hard to go wrong here, but we love the croque monsier or madame, crepes, and both the goat cheese & leek quiche and quiche lorraine.

Lula is a cozy place that offers tapas, a robust wine list, and cocktails. It's the perfect place to "wine down" after a long (or short) day. We love grabbing a cheese plate, the crab mac and cheese, and trying different wines (be sure to get the staff's recommendations!). Note: Closed on Sundays

One of Sewickley's local watering holes. The Hotel & Cantina has held many identities over the years (it was built in the 1890s and opened as a restaurant in the 1950s!), but has always been a Sewickley favorite. Under new management, The Hotel now serves American comfort food with a Tex Mex twist. Don't pass up the fajitas, french brisket dip, the whiskey burger, and of course, margaritas!
