For fish and chips by the sea. Past Dover through St Margaret at Cliffs which is literally…on the cliff. The pub is ON the beach under the cliffs but because it’s a little fiddly to get to it’s not overcrowded. Worth the narrow roads down the cliff.

How about a day trip to France? Nip over or under the Channel . The euro tunnel is ten minutes away and the crossing takes 35 min. Dover Docks takes between 15 min and 18 hours (depending on school holidays or something) the crossing takes a little more than an hour. Boulogne-sur-Mer is 25 min from the French side of the tunnel.
