Vinnie’s has some of the best Italian food around. It doesn’t take reservations and there’s usually a wait…but the wait is always worth it. It’s a casual dining affair and you can count on hearing your favorite Frank Sinatra tunes as you dine in a casual, fun atmosphere.

If you like BBQ…do yourself a favor and go here. It’s simply incredible. You can’t make reservations and it usually has wonky hours (like closing at 4:30pm Monday thru Friday and not open at all on weekends). You can only have hours like this for one reason and one reason only: The food is so dang good people will literally go whenever the building is open to get it. If you’re in Asheville on a weekday…I highly recommend you try this place out.

This is one of the BIG breweries in Asheville and if you like beer, you’ve probably had one of New Belgium’s beers (think Fat Tire). The facility is amazing and it’s nestled along a river, making it a great place to hang outside if the weather permits. It’s common for them to have food trucks and live music happening.

Historic…breathtaking…fun!!! Put on your walking shoes and take a stroll back in time as you walk through and around the Biltmore Estate. This is usually AT LEAST a few hour affair, so try to build on enough time to really enjoy. There is a TON to see. Also, you can buy your tickets online beforehand.

You will be staying a quick walk to the Grove Park Inn property, so it should definitely be considered a landing spot while you’re in town. There are multiple restaurants on the Grove Park property and reservations are recommended for them all. At a minimum, buy a drink in the Great Hall barroom and look at the views from the Sunset Terrace. Depending on the time of year, parking can be $20 in the Grove Park ramp. If you have a little extra time, you can walk up the hill to get there (about a 15-20 minute walk from the Airbnb). The Grove Park also has a popular golf course and a first class spa.

This is a mid-level hike that is pretty easy most of the way up. It gets steep for the last ten to fifteen minutes of the hike. At the top are stunning panoramic views.
From the Airbnb, you can expect it to take about 30 minutes to get to the parking area at the bottom of the trail. But this drive is part of the fun; as you drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are multiple scenic pullovers along the way.
Note: The Blue Ridge Parkway can be closed for most of the winter, depending on weather conditions.

Craggy is a great hike for beginners or for folks that want to get out and see some natural beauty…but it won’t leave you exhausted and sore for two days. The hike itself should only take about twenty minutes and the views at the top are worth every step.
From the Airbnb, expect it to take about 30 minutes to drive to the parking area at the base of the trail.
