Chiang Mai International Airport has 2 types of taxi services, airport taxi and meter taxi.
The airport taxi counter is where you want to be to have a fixed cheaper fare. They are silver cabs. The counter is at the exit of the arrivals gate. The ticket will be issued at a fixed rate, depending on your destination. (Additional 50 THB fees for using the service).
The meter taxi are mostly yellow and blue cabs. There are have some 7 seater SUV and the 4 seater cabs. They are supposed to run on meter but do not usually done so from the airport.
