What to pack
Beach Towels
There is a family beach on the lake at Metung, also good lake swimming at nearby Tambo Bay and a short drive to Lakes Entrance where there is easy beach access as well as a fun waterpark on the lake near the footbridge. Metung Hot Springs is also due to open in Dec 2021!

Walking shoes
Beautiful walks along the Metung boardwalk, the Gippsland Rail Trail (a good safe walking/cycling track running from Bairnsdale to Orbost), Mitchell River National Park and Lakes Entrance beaches.
What to pack
Bicycles
The Gippsland rail trail is easily accessible with safe trails running from Bairnsdale to Orbost. Also the Colquhoun Bike Park at Kalimna West.
