Two streets, Higuera and Marsh, form the downtown area. Great restaurants, shops, and microbreweries. Thursday evenings the Farmer's Market is a must-do. Higuera Street is closed; there is entertainment at most intersections along the street. Food, fresh veggies and fruits, local cheeses and honey.....who needs more?

Spoon Trade is our go-to restaurant. With a demonstration kitchen, you can enjoy the work of a local chef, who runs the restaurant along with his wife. They also own the Sourdough Bakery across the street. We had guests love Spoon Trade so much that they went there for Friday dinner, Saturday dinner, and Sunday Brunch.

Manrock is owned by a local couple; we watched their microbrew grow from six bar stools and a janitor's closet converted to hold the tanks, to their current location. They continue to get more and more popular. What's on tap varies day to day, because it is all made on site. And yes....Phil and I were some of the early supporters who fought for two of those six bar stools.
