For those who love history and are fascinating with how people survived in the harsh desert.

Food scene
The Bean is a local favorite. In this part of the country when they talk about beans they are not talking about coffee beans but rather Pinto or refried beans.
My personal favorite dish is the breakfast Huevos con Chorizo. And my son likes the Bean and Cheese burrito with hot chocolate. They add a Texas-sized squirt of whipped cream.
Most people here know each other unless you are a tourist!

Local Groceries
Porter’s is the only true grocery store in town. You may not find all your favorite brands but I’m always surprised to find something unexpected. Don’t forget to pick up water!! Every Saturday there is a farmer’s market on Main Street before you get to the Catholic Church. You can also buy many groceries at Dollar General.
