We are in the heart of Upper King which is full of excellent food choices. Many of these are within a few blocks of the building, others are as much as half mile to one mile away - but still very walkable given how much food you will eat in Charleston! Make sure to pack your stretchy pants!

Neighborhoods
The Cannonborough neighborhood is a vibrant residential district in the midtown section of peninsular Charleston. Often associated with the adjacent Elliotborough neighborhood just to the north, it has been the center of redevelopment in the last ten years. Originally settled in the late 18th and early 19th centuries by working class families and immigrants, it has historically been a neighborhood for the common Charlestonian. Though lacking in famous last names and sprawling mansions, there is no shortage of traditional Charleston Singles which have become highly sought after as restoration projects.
Nestled among the residential homes are many great, off the beaten path restaurants and boutique shops. From sandwich and taco spots to James Beard nominated restaurants, there is little bit of everything within the neighborhood for those looking to get off of King St. (We recommend Xiao Bao Biscuit, Two Boroughs Larder, Trattoria Luca, Five Loaves Café, Artisan Meat Share, Cannon Green, but you really can’t go wrong anywhere.)
Cannonborough is a very popular neighborhood for college students and young professionals so there is generally a fair amount of activity and residents feel safe walking around at night. While crime is uncommon at any time of the day we recommend guests use caution when walking at night and are careful when crossing streets as some do not have crosswalk signals.

Getting around
Our Location is Very Walkable
We love walking from our place everywhere downtown, but you can also uber / lyft or take the free Carta Bus. If you want to sight see outside of downtown Charleston then rental car is best, and we have parking offstreet for two cars parked to front to back for each unit.
