Traveler advice
Getting around
Walking
Only 2.5kms from our accommodation, easy to walk to. If you drive into the main street, there is plenty of parking, just observe signage.
Customs and culture
Driving
As in the rest of Australia, we drive on the left-hand side of the road. You must also give way to pedestrians. There are no pedestrian crossings in Mansfield, and whilst most of us walkers look out, just be wary in case someone steps out onto the road.
Book before you go
Eating Out
With many cafes and restaurants, you might not think to book. Our advice is to book as early as possible, as many of they are fully booked, especially during holiday times, and weekends. If you need some advice, call Peter, your AirBnb Host.
What to pack
Clothing
We are pretty relaxed in Mansfield, so bring along comfortable clothing. Our weather can be hot and dry, or cold and wet, so bring a variety just in case. If you need (want) to, we also have several clothing stores in the high street which can offer you additional wardrobe items.
And remember your sunscreen and a hat!
Useful phrases
Kindness
Many people come to Mansfield for a break from the hectic city life, and some of them even stay forever. All we ask is patience and kindness when dealing with others, whether they be hospitality or retail workers.
The Covid-19 Pandemic has seen many transient people leave Mansfield, so we continue to be short-staffed in some areas, or under-skilled to serve sophisticated tourists. We will do our best! Please say thank-you if you are happy, and drop the business owner a note if they do not meet your expectations. Everyday we will grow!
