City/town information
Augusta is the perfect place to get all aspects of vacation and tourism. We have all the outdoor trails and nature to enjoy including the Savannah River, the canal, FATS Mountain Bike trails, the Greenway, the Riverwalk, disc golf courses, and golf.
If you like food, Augusta is loaded with local restaurants that will fill you up but for a incredible price.
If you like breweries, I recommend Savannah River Brewing Company. If you like distilleries, you have to try 2nd City Beverage Co.
You absolutely have to check out Downtown Augusta! From boutiques to axe throwing, from self-pour taprooms to wine bars, from coffee shops to coffee bars, from candle making to canvas painting, and just look at the architecture!
Augusta is a spread out area, there is more than just downtown! Midtown (Central Avenue) has a couple restaurants & coffee shops. Surrey Center (located on Highland Avenue & Wheeler Rd) is its own world. Upscale restaurants and boutiques. Evans, Ga is about 10 min down Washington Rd. North Augusta (right across the river) is the cutest little downtown. It is definitely worth walking around and checking out some of the places they have to eat and drink. Evans is more of a family-friendly area with parks and restaurants.
