The Adirondack Mountains are absolutely gorgeous (especially during peak foliage season) and are a must-see for any first-time travelers. Hop on I-87 and you can get a gorgeous view of the state park while you drive down south!

A great hike for all hikers! There are two trails - one that is shorter yet more challenging, and the other that is longer but easier. You are rewarded with beautiful views of the Adirondack Park without having to hike all day! About a 15-20 minute drive from the City of Plattsburgh.

What to pack
Bring water shoes if swimming in Lake Champlain
If you plan on swimming anywhere in Lake Champlain other than the beaches, I highly recommend bringing water shoes. There are very rocky areas that also have zebra mussels.
