It's a Halifax institution/experience (was more a local scene). It has delicious breakfast foods, though their lunch wraps aren't bad. It is always busy and quite often there is a line up (part of why it's a Halifax institution), but it moves quickly. My favorite is the Los Huevos Rancheros with buffalo chicken. Be sure to checkout their website thecoastal.ca before going for their hours.

This coffee shop gets voted Halifax's best coffee year after year and it's in walking distance (not far at all). Now I can't personally vouch for this place as I don't drink tea or coffee but some of my other guests have.

It right by the house. On Saturdays, to 1 pm. There are a few (it's not large) local suppliers/farmers/artisans. If you want to pick up some local produce, grab a coffee. You can spend a bit of time here.
