VIEWS: Mount Evans Scenic Byway: <1 hour
If you came to Denver to experience the Rocky Mountains, you'll want to reserve a day to take a drive up to Mount Evans. To get to Mount Evans, you'll have to hop on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway, a two-lane road known as the "road into the sky" because of the nearly 9,000 feet of elevation change. At the Mount Evans peak, drivers will be 14,264 feet above sea level. Along the way, you'll find a number of lookout points from which you can admire the view of the Rockies. $15 per car

PARKS: Rocky Mountain National Park: 2 hours
The true Colorado experience! Rocky Mountain High at 14,000 feet above sea level. So much to do, where do I start?
My go to hike for a first timer: Park at Bear Lake and hit all three lakes … Nymph Lake → Dream Lake → Emerald Lake. This hike is a bit more than 5 miles but very doable! It could take a couple of hours, but with all of the photo opportunities, expect to be there for closer to 3 hours.
Be sure to spend a bit of time in Estes Park before you leave and of course say hello to the Stanley hotel as you leave the Rockies.
