Some great restaurants (including Yellow Door Taqueria), and on a nice day, it's not far to walk to the Neponset River Trail. It's a difficult neighborhood to get to on public transit, but offers a different view into Boston through one of it's many neighborhoods.

Beautiful through the seasons - but most special during the summer and fall. A long extended greenway between downtown and the waterfront (including Quincy Market and the North End, also good destinations). Take in a stroll and peak the waterfront as you go, turn back and walk along the water front for a different and equally great view.
