Food scene

The only upscale raw vegan restaurant in the city. It’s only open on fridays and saturdays, plan in advance. It’s an amazing experience. This is a great intimate location, but very expensive. $$$$

Traveler advice

Getting around

Metro Delays

Due to significant changes and updates, the metro is running every 20 minutes instead of 10.
What to pack

Pack for all weather

DC weather fluctuates quickly, especially in between seasons. Winter is very chilly with a harsh wind. Summer is disgusting and is uninhabitable. Spring and fall are the best times to visit, but also the most popular. It can rain, snow, 80 degrees of sunshine and a mystical rainbow promising hope can all appear within the same week. Plan on wearing layers and pack good walking shoes.
Traveling with kids

Kids don’t like DC

Take it from me, a former kid that said “can’t we just take a taxi”, when we were walking around the monuments. The SPY museum is probably the best for kids as it’s interactive, but also the most expensive.
