City/town information
Aarhus is a vibrant and young city with many inspiring sites to visit. We enjoy that the city is not too big or too small, so it is easy to get around. The city is close to both forrests and the water, so you'll have easy access to nature as well. Due to the many student living in Aarhus, you will experience a good vibe with people hanging out in the sun. Enjoy!

Traveler advice
Getting around
It is very easy to get around town on a bike
You can rent a bike through Swapfiets for one month at a low price (they even have student discount). Even if you don't plan to stay in Aarhus for a full month it can be worth it.
Customs and culture
In Denmark you don't have to add tips at restaurants
It is not frowned upon if you don't add tips to waiters at restaurants in Denmark. Waiters are well paid, and they do not expect you to give them tips. However, it is always appreciated when you do.
