Located 7 miles from Lake Siskiyou. Castle Lake is a beautiful alpine lake that sits at 5,440' and is accessed by a well-maintained paved road which ends at the lake. There is a flat trail that meanders along the right side of the lake starting behind the Forest Service toilet.

This restored 7.5-acre wetland has a boardwalk, benches, a pond, a beautiful trail, a sculpture garden. It is located 3 blocks from downtown on E. Castle Street. It can also be accessed by walking from 522 Spruce Street to the intersection of Spruce and Alma and turning left. The Library is on the right about 300' and the trail is just behind the library. It's a level and very comfortable walk with beautiful views.
