The kayaking Olympics were held here, along the Nantahala River. There is also a great restaurant you can eat healthy food at, and watch the kayaks. Or rent a raft or bicycle for the day!

If you want to feel like your ON TOP OF THE WORLD it is worth the drive. Anytime of year is beautiful. The fall is absolutely amazing! We usually go in the fall and in the snow of winter.
