The local hipster café. Plenty of mismatched, charming furniture to sit or lounge on while you sip your coffee and sample the home-made baked goods. Delicious muffins and scones that they make right in house—new flavors every day. Great place to sit and people watch, chat, or work. My favorite way to start the day here is to walk there first thing in the morning and sit outside, if it’s nice out, and soak in the sun while enjoying a latte. They also have a back courtyard.

A great casual spot to spend quality time with family, share laughs with friends, or even just stop by for a glass of our prosecco on tap. Be sure to try a Norman exclusive menu item, the Denco Darlin’—it’s elbow pasta, Denco chili, cheddar cheese and two eggs lookin’ at ya. It is very popular for breakfast. Get on the waitlist online before heading over on weekends.

Some of the best thin crust pizza I’ve ever tried, lovely bar, two indoor levels and a beautiful rooftop patio and bar. 315 White St. (the tallest building on “Campus Corner”—you can’t miss it). Nice way to get a view of the whole campus, and the town for that matter. If you want to avoid the student crowd during the school year, go for happy hour at 4:00 PM on weekdays! Or early on the weekend nights. Otherwise, enjoy the multi-age, mildly bustling social scene while you enjoy the delicious food.

The best bar food I’ve ever had, lots of screens, fun atmosphere, good service. It’s a favorite Oklahoma chain. The listing here may direct you to the OKC location--a glitch in the system I guess. But there is one close by the OU campus at 301 W Boyd St

Forward Foods has the finest selection of cheese, charcuterie, and pantry goods in Oklahoma. If you're looking for some delicacies to enjoy "at home" during your stay, look no further than Forward Foods, right downtown, just a few minutes drive or 15 minute walk (tops). The owner, Steve Reynolds, is a Norman native so you can feel good about supporting a very local business. Sure, you may want to pick up your more basic items at the regular grocery store--but for those extra special items and a fine array of cheeses to pair with your evenings "at home" with a bottle of wine on the front or back porch (or cozy inside), Forward Foods is your friend. Plus you'll get to experience a little "local flavor" of the town, both literally and figuratively.
