There is a group Tuesday night run at 6 pm call the Trail Trotters that meets outside of the building on the Swamp Rabbit trail nearest the train tracks. I regularly attend this 5k fun run and grab a beer or kombucha afterwards.

Juniper is currently the most unique roof top bar in the city. They have a long wait list to get in. You should consider making a reservation before arriving for your trip. It sits atop the newly built AC Hotel in the center of downtown at Broad St and Main St. Go here if you're looking for unique drinks, fun new atmosphere, instagramable moments, live music, and great views of the city. There isn't a set dress code the last time I looked, but I would suggest a little better than casual closer to business casual at the least. I haven't had the food yet, but I'm sure it's on point. Make those reservations ahead of time!

Less than 5 mins from the bungalow at the Woodside Mill Lofts. They have great cocktails and tasty food. It has a chill atmosphere and the cocktails are $10-12. The food is good but a tad bit on the pricey side ($$).

City/Town information
Travelers Rest is a short 15-20 minutes up the road from downtown Greenville. This small town is full of great food and drinks as well as being connected via the Swamp Rabbit trail to Greenville. The town has many local shops and places to walk by on their sidewalks. The atmosphere is a little calmer as compared to Greenville and has some great views of the mountains. TR as the locals call it, also has a pump track and golf range right in downtown. You should definitely take the time to visit this great little town and enjoy the mountain views on the way. I suggest going to Tandem (my favorite creperie) for brunch, then taking a walk around the town and eating at my favorite local pizza shop, Sidewall Pizza, for some Za and home made ice cream.

Paris Mountain State Park is just under 20 minutes from the Bungalow. They have 4 lakes, a swimming area, miles of trails, picnic shelters, primitive camping, and RV camping. The admission fee is $6 per adult and $3.50 per child. It's one of my favorite things about Greenville. I love to trail run, hike, and mountain bike here on the regular. Let me know if you would like suggestions for which trails to check out! I have hiked, biked, or run everyone at this point.
