Food scene
Best Mexican food in town. It has a small inside but great outdoor seating to watch all the activity of downtown. They do not serve alcohol, but you could always pick up a to-go margarita from Los Reyes just down the road.
We love the enchiladas and the gorditas, but it's generally all good.

Blackwater Creek Blueway
The Blackwater Creek Blueway incorporates four waterways: Blackwater Creek, Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River, Cane Creek, and the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River. This section of the Blueway, which can be thought of as a river trail within a river trail, includes just over 20 miles of navigable waterways.
Paddlers may encounter blue herons, kingfishers, and woodpeckers in flight above their boats. In the water, they map spot beavers, river otter, flattened musk turtle, or the black warrior waterdog.
