The weather in Mombasa is mostly hot, both day and night. The evenings bring a chill and one is advised to have a light sweater.

Getting around
One can sample the various means of transport.
Bodaboda( motorbikes) are convenient. They are like taxis (only cheaper) as they deliver you to your "door".
Taxis are fairly expensive, but equally convenient.
Matatus are the most common means of transport. Quite affordable too. They however only ply main routes and one has to walk the extra distance or take a taxi/bodaboda if the destination is off the main roads.
Ferry: for those crossing the ocean.
