Sightseeing
Climbing the stairs up to the tower you will get a great view of Tampere and it's lovely nature and surrounding lakes. While you are there have a taste of their fabulous doughnut's. They are the best in town! You can also get them gluten-free!

My favorite pub in Tampere. I think that even the Belgian beer enthusiasts would envy their selection of beers! On top of that they serve excellent bistro-type food and have a good selection of classy wines as well. The atmosphere is lovely too.

If you are thinking about a weekend brunch this is my local favourite! They are serving American style brunch. It's a bit off from the city centre, but very much worth the visit. Remember to book a table in advance!

It just doesn't get better than this with Indian food. Make sure to ask which chef is working today :)The spicy one or the spicier one and adjust your level of spiciness accordingly. Medium works just fine usually:)

Great places to visit
A place for local artisans to sell their wares, including the best chocolates in town at the Suklaapuoti! Wonderful at Christmas time. The children might enjoy the pony ride or you can also do a ride on the horse carriage!

Nature
If you love walks in the nature or enjoy to run, I recommend heading this way. The trail starts only 400 meters from the flat and it's only about 4 kilometers long in total and has nice sightseeing spots along the way overlooking the lakes of Tampere!

Getting around
Citybikes or E-scooters are the quickest way to get around
Bus no 28 is the easiest way to get to the railway +bus stations and Nokia Arena from my place. If you want to use the bus, getting the Nysse app on your phone makes life easier. Citybikes are available for rental just around the corner on Koulukatu. Walking is always a good option too depending on were you are headed. The tram is also an option if you want to walk 600 meters to the closest stop on Hämeenkatu.
