There are a number of diving schools on the island but we recommend Neil and Monique at Sail Rock Divers in Chaloklum. They are the only PADI Dive Centre of Excellence in SE Asia and they will collect and return guests to and from the villa for diving trips. (+66) 77 374 321.

A pretty little beach on the west side of Chaloklum Bay which is known for its laid back vibe and is a popular snorkelling spot. The dirt road is badly jutted in places and hard to tackle on a moped, better on a 4WD or you can take a boat taxi from Chaloklum.

Thaan Sadet waterfall was frist visited by Thai Royalty in 1888 when King Rama V left an inscription on a rock that remains today; he revisited the same spot more than 10 times. The present King Bhumibol has also been to this sacred series of falls, where the river waters are used in certain Royal Ceremonies that obtain water from only a few sources around Thailand. It is a fairytale of huge granite boulders and multitudes of fresh water pools and can be walked its full length of 3kms. The falls are more like huge stepping stones and can be approached from numerous places; either from the magnificent beach of Haad Thaan Sadet or on the road into Thaan Sadet.

The ‘Secret beach’ is worth a visit. If you walk along to the Spit there is a good restaurant at Koh Raham resort where you can sit in hammocks or on benches overlooking the sea. You can also feed the fish from here and this is a great snorkelling spot. (Favorite)
