A wonderful park to walk in with a lovely variety of trees, birds and plant life. Also, good for people watching and a bit of quiet. I would recommend taking the park to the west end via University Avenue.

Sadly, this street isn't what it used to be with lots of businesses having closed down, especially since the pandemic. But this is an iconic street in Glasgow and it has a very vibrant energy. It is great for a wander during the day and for shopping. It does get a little rowdy at night!

If you like hiking, you could do this whole 96 mile trail or a day trip. I walked the whole thing over a period of a couple of years with a friend, going on day trips or a couple of days at a time and taking public transport back to Glasgow or the Highlands.

It is great to go through to Edinburgh for the day from Glasgow. You can jump on a train from Charing Cross station with is only a few minutes walk from the flat, or take a bus from Buchanan Bus Station and be there in a little over an hour.
