Ways to save
So Many Freebies!
Townsville is an amazing place to get out and about in nature:
• Walk, jog or scooter the 3km stretch of our iconic Strand
• Take a walk up Castle Hill for million-dollar views of Cleveland Bay and Magnetic Island
• Drive up Mt Stuart to experience a birds-eye view of the whole city
• Beach comb at Rowes Bay and Pallarenda, watching the kite surfers on windy afternoons or hike the Many Peaks Trail
• Head up the range to Paluma and walk-through ancient rainforest, stop for a swim at Crystal Creek on the way back down
What to pack
Bring your flip flops all year round!
Shorts, t-shirts and thongs are acceptable most places and all year round with our warm climate. We have average temps in the mid 20's throughout winter, but a light jacket might be needed early morning in July and August.
