City/town information

Welcome to Sarasota (otherwise known as SRQ), a tropical paradise in a small city that is growing very quickly! Enjoy the nightlife downtown, beautiful beaches or the secluded wildlife a short distance away. It's close enough to the Tampa Bay area for a day trip but has plenty to offer for a relaxing stay within its borders. Traditionally a retirement town and overlooked for its larger northern neighbor of Tampa, it is now outgrowing that reputation and becoming a highly sought out location. The weather is perfect in the spring and fall, only slightly chilly at times in the winter and a bit rainy and warm in the summer. It is enjoyable for a variety of ages!
