Customs and culture
Friendly City
Tulsa is a welcoming city. People are generally warm friendly, will speak without knowing you, and strike up conversation easily.
Getting around
Easy City Navigation
In my time of living here I believe Tulsa is easy to navigate the further south you go the street numbers are higher 21st street, 31st street, 41st street, 51st street, and so on. On the opposite end, the further north you go the numbers become smaller 41st street, 31st street, 21st street, 15th street. (Cherry Street), 11th street, and so on
What to pack
Honorary Meteorologist
During my time of living here, myself and others have become honorary meteorologists. The weather patterns change in the same day there could be at least two-three seasons all within a span of hours. Please plan ahead, pack a sweater/jacket even though the outdoor feel appears to be warm weather.
Traveling with kids
Family Friendly City
Tulsa is such a family-oriented city. There are numerous events that are centered with children in mind that are either free or for a small fee. There are a plethora of city parks, activities, and events. If you are interested in experiences intentionally designed for parents and children to connect feel free to check out endlessmemoriesok.com
