“South Shore Beach” is a gorgeous, family-friendly beach and only a short bike ride or drive away (1.5 miles from the Feldman House). It’s a great place to spend the day! There’s ample parking and often food trucks for ice cream or other snacks. Enjoy the town beach, watch the surfers, or walk down to the Goosewing Beach Preserve section of the beach for nature walks or birdwatching.

Best of all, once you’re done at the beach you’re just a few minutes away from the best ice cream in Rhode Island, Gray’s! There is a parking fee for out-of-towners ($10 as of this writing).
This is a large and popular beach over the border in Massachusetts (about a 20 minute drive from our property) with full amenities, including restrooms, a playground, camping, and picnic areas.

Located close-by in Westport, MA, the Knubble is a barrier beach at the entrance to Westport harbor. From the top the Knubble -- the rocky outcropping at the point -- you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. It’s a 15 minute drive from the rental, but parking is limited.
