Parks & Nature

The writer, philosopher, and transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau famously lived in a cabin on Walden Pond, and his writings about the experience have made Walden a popular place to visit. In the summer months, get here early before the parking fills up; the two-mile walk through the woods around the pond's edge is something we love to do every year.
