This is a must see in the spring and summer. Bring a picnic and a camera. Enjoy a stroll along the Willamette river park and see the location where Eugene F. Skinner built his first cabin. From this side of the butte there is a perfect hike with an eagles nest about 3/4 of the way up the butte.

My grandparents took me here when I was little. There are wonderful trails and roads to explore and a big swing to swing on. The Rhodies are so beautiful.

Back in the day this location was the original football field. My grandfather Barney was a ball boy during ducks games in the early 1900's. Isn't that cool?!

I love the European vibe here.
Very Italian and it is located on the ground floor of the old Smeede Hotel with art galleries, sushi and the Hult Center nearby.

Traveler advice
Getting around
bypass Interstate 5 if you have time!
Highway 99 North and East are some of the most scenic routes in Oregon. They take you through huge farm fields with views of the Coburg mountains and Mary's Peak and go all the way to Portland. Backroads are the best here in Oregon.
Getting around
Get over to the coast with ease.
Take West 11th right of town past the beautiful Fern Ridge Reservoir. It turns into Highway 126 which will take you all the way to the coastal town of Florence.
