VIRJE WATERFALL is an excellent place to visit and cool down on hot summer days. It is in the vicinity so you can visit it by bike, on foot or by car. Please have in mind there is a parking fee.

Getting around
Three roads lead to the Soča Valley
From Ljubljana, Central Slovenia:
- Through Gorenjska region
Drive to Kranjska Gora and take Vršič pass to Bovec.
I would highly recommend you to drive over Vršič pass as it is really picturesque drive.
If you would like to avoid serpentines or is Vršič pass closed, drive through Kranjska Gora to Italy as you can come from italian side via Predil Pass
From Ljubljana to Bovec it is going to take 2 hours (130 km).
- Through Primorska region
Drive to Nova Gorica than through Tolmin and Kobarid to Bovec.
From Ljubljana to Bovec is going to take 2.5 hours (176km).
