Traveler advice
Getting around
Cars are the only way to safely get around the area.
Rent a car, get an Uber, or have your own car when traveling around Albuquerque. It is a very big city with so much to do and there is very little public transportation.
Book before you go
Avoid South West Albuquerque as much as you can.
This is the most dangerous areas in Albuquerque. The crime rate is high and I would suggest not going there if you do not have to. It is dirty and the main area where the homeless people camp out.
Customs and culture
Visit the Reservations
Visit the reservations but remember to research the rules and regulations. I would suggest not buying anything as most of the gifts are not handmade by the reservation tribes themself. It is mainly a scam to lure tourists.
