Great food, wine and people. Erica and Matt started Grace in 2021 and it has been a fabulous addition to the Rutherglen food scene. Try their Milkdog Pale Ale and marvel at the beautiful label design (done by me!)

You can’t go past a winery that is a castle. Even if the wines were terrible (they’re not), it’s such a fantastic building and grounds that it is worth checking out just to wander around.

Olive Hills is 10 minutes out of town towards Albury. Ross Perry makes some excellent wines, and it’s a beautiful setting up on a hill overlooking Fairfield House. Try Ross’s delicious Du Cluse wine.

A small winery with a beautiful big lawn area. Great spot to take a blanket and some cheese and crackers and enjoy a wine or two on the lawn.

Beechworth is a pretty town about 40 minutes away. Bridge Road Brewery is a great place to stop and have a beer and pizza. If you are heading to Beechworth, make sure you visit Yeddonba Aboriginal Cultural Site near Mt. Pilot and check out the cave paintings.
