Sightseeing
Spearfish Canyon, just down the hill on Colorado Blvd., has one of the most scenic drives with cool stops along the way. You are sure to see mountain goats, deer and maybe even an eagle.
My favorites:
1. Bridal Veil Falls
There is a pull-off area on Right side of highway. Falls are on the Left. A viewing deck is available. Be careful crossing the highway!
2. Iron Mountain Hike
On Right side of highway, small parking area. Trail is quite easy. Both sides are tall rock cliffs and a creek follows the path. Several miles up is Iron Creek Lake. A beautuful hike year 'round!
